Payments:
1. Payment in full is to be made immediately upon completion of the work unless otherwise noted.
2. Customer agrees to pay interest at the rate of one and one-half percent (1.5%) per month (eighteen percent (18%)
per year) on any balance not paid in full upon completion of the work. Interest begins accruing on the date the work
is completed.
3. Customer agrees to pay a service charge of Thirty-Five Dollars ($35.00) for any check not honored by the drawee
for any reason.
4. If Schuler Service, Inc., turns this matter over to a third party for collection or brings any type of legal action against
Customer to enforce its rightsto collect any amount owing underthe Proposal, Customer agreesto pay all collection
fees incurred by Schuler Service, Inc., with regard to said legal action.
5. All Special-Order items are non-refundable.
Warranties: (Effective 9/13/2024)
1. All products supplied by Schuler Service, Inc., are covered by the manufacturer’s written warranty.
2. The International Plumbing Code states that your home’s static water pressure shall not exceed 80 psi. In the event
your incoming water pressure is greater than 80 psi, an approved pressure reducing valve must be installed or you
risk damage to your plumbing system and void all Schuler Service, Inc. workmanship/product warranties.
3. All New Fixture Installations – 100% coverage for 24-Months.
4. All Repairs – 100% coverage for 60-Days (excluding plumbing adjustment minor task performed, all drain cleaning
including toilet bowl clogs and installation of Customer supplied parts and materials).
5. Residential Water Heaters – 100% coverage for the first 36-Months from the installation date. Any remaining
warranty is a manufacturers product warranty only.
6. Customer Supplied Products – 0% coverage by Schuler Service, Inc.
7. Plumbing Adjustment Minor Task – 0% coverage by Schuler Service, Inc.
8. All Drain Cleaning/Openings – 30-Days from the date the initial work is completed with the following
exceptions:
a. Warranty is void where our service technician has notified Customer that the drainage pipe is found
with kitchen grease, feminine hygiene products, baby wipes, personal hygiene wipes, dental floss,
Q-tips, paper towels, or any objects other than toilet paper, or if the drainage pipe is found to be
in poor condition and should be replaced due to mechanical issues, single-vent house trap,
suspected breaks, back-pitched pipes, excessive root infiltration, or any other defect.
b. Warranty is void where Customer causes the drain to block during the warranty period due to
Customer’s own neglect including, but not limited to, blocking the drain with a foreign object, etc.
9. Customer agrees to pay the agreed upon fee for drain cleaning regardless of whether the drain can ultimately be
opened or not, as long as Schuler Service, Inc., makes every reasonable effort to clear the drain.
10. Underground Work – Water Line or Sewer Line repair or replacement – 100% coverage for 12 months.
11. Kitchen and Bathroom Remodels – 100% coverage for 24-Months for all new fixture installations. Any nonspecial order products supplied by Schuler Service, Inc., fall within this warranty. Any Customer supplied
products are not covered by the Schuler Service, Inc., stated warranties.
12. The applicable trip charge fee may be charged at the time of the warranty service.
13. Warranty does not apply where repairs have been made by others or products have been tampered with by others,
or repairs are required due to excessive wear and tear, or damage caused through misuse, abuse, or neglect.
14. Schuler Service, inc, warranty is transferable from original owner to new owner with written approval by Schuler
Service, Inc., within three (3) months of the ownership transfer.
Unforeseen Circumstances:
Customer acknowledges that the price quoted is only an estimate and that unforeseen problems may be discovered
once work has commenced. Customer will be given the option of agreeing to pay for any additional charges that
may be necessary to complete that work authorized. However, Customer agrees to pay the original estimated price
in full regardless of whether or not Customer agrees to have the work completed by Schuler Service, Inc. The
Proposal shall not be changed without a written change order signed by Customer and a representative of Schuler
Service, Inc.
1. Schuler Service, Inc., assumes no liability for injury or damages of any kind not caused by Schuler Service,
Inc.
2. Customer agrees to indemnify Schuler Service, Inc., for any damage or destruction to any hidden utilities in
walls, floors and ceilings that result from conventional repair efforts.
3. All practical precautions will be made to prevent damage to existing hard surfaces – for example, curb lines,
sidewalks, patios, and driveways; however, Customer retains all responsibility for any damage that may occur.
4. If any unexpected subsurface conditions, including but not limited to rock formations, utilities and/or groundwater,
are encountered, work will proceed only upon Customer’s approval of any resulting additional charges.
5. Organic transplants are not guaranteed.
Insurance:
1. All workers and subcontractors of Schuler Service, Inc., are fully covered by Workers’ Compensation insurance.
2. Except as otherwise provided by law or regulation, Schuler Service, Inc., agrees to maintain Worker’s Compensation
insurance and liability insurance covering personal injury in an amount not less than $50,000.00 and insurance
covering property damage caused by Schuler Service, Inc., in an amount not less than $50,000.00. As of the date of
execution of the Proposal, Schuler Service, Inc., has liability insurance covering personal injury in the amount of not
less than $1,000,000.00 and insurance covering property damage caused by Schuler Service, Inc., in the amount not
less than $1,000,000.00.
Digital Images:
1. Customer provides full consent to Schuler Service, Inc., to use digital still and video images created of the work
performed by Schuler Service, Inc., for record keeping, training and/or marketing purposes in perpetuity.
Governing Law; Venue and Severability:
1. This Proposal shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania.
2. Customer agrees that venue of any legal action shall be the courts of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
3. If any one or more of the provisions contained in the Proposal shall for any reason be held to be invalid, illegal, or
unenforceable in any respect, the invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability shall not affect any other provision of the
Proposal and the Proposal shall be construed as if the invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision had never been
contained in it.
Assignment:
1. No assignment of the Proposal or of any duty or obligation contained herein shall be made in whole or in part by
Customer without the prior written consent of Schuler Service, Inc. However, Schuler Service, Inc., may subcontract
any portion of the work to a qualified third-party subcontractor without the need for Customer’s prior consent.
Complete Agreement:
1. Customer agrees that this Proposal and any amendments hereto represent the entire agreement between the
parties with respect to the services to be provided.
2. No modification to this Proposal shall be valid or enforceable unless signed by both Customer and Schuler Service.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Contractor Registration:
1. Schuler Service, Inc. is registered as a contractor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through the Attorney
General’s Office operating under PA6582.
2. Contractor certifies that any subcontractor used pursuant to this agreement shall be a registered contractor with
the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.
